FLEX Rotary Backing Plates are the Mercedes-Benz of rotary backing plates, period! These precision-engineered rotary backing plates are specifically designed for professional detailers and body shops that require a robust backing plate that will be able to withstand thousands of hours of paint polishing.
When FLEX set out to introduce a compact, lightweight polisher for spot repair and precision polishing, they knew a set of backing plates and pads had to follow. After years of research and development, FLEX introduced the PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher along with a line of rotary backing plates and foam pads to use with the new machine.
FLEX Rotary Backing Plates are manufactured to the highest quality standards, starting with the one-piece flexible polyurethane construction.
A flexible backing plate is able to conform better to curves and contours, ensuring the pad stays completely flat, thus reducing the chance of instilling holograms.
A one-piece design is more robust because it removes the mechanical stress that would be associated with a 2 or 3 piece design.
FLEX Rotary Backing Plates also feature a steel plated threaded insert for added durability.
The molded-in hook and loop material will not separate, even after extended polishing sessions at high speeds. Simply put, FLEX Rotary Backing Plates are designed for the long haul.
FLEX Rotary Backing Plates utilize a 5/8 inch diameter shaft that accommodates the FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher and the FLEX PE14-2-150. For best results, we recommend using a
Rotary Backing Plate Extension
to further the distance between the body of the polisher and the backing plate, increasing precision and safety.
Use the 2 inch plate with FLEX 2 Inch Foam Pads.

Orders received Monday through Friday by 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) normally ship the same day. Orders normally ship within 1-2 business days. Once your order has been shipped we will send your tracking number to the email address provided.
Returns
Items must be returned within 30 days in new condition with original packaging. * See exceptions below. To return an item, request a return through the eBay Return Center to receive a Return Authorization Number and instructions. Write this number on the outside of the package. Products returned without authorization will not be accepted.
The cost of the returned items, minus shipping charges, will be promptly credited via the payment method used. It may take 5-7 days for your bank to process the credit.
If you have received a defective item, please contact us immediately for return/exchange information.
Custom-made items cannot be returned. These items are made for your specific vehicle. Custom items include, but are not limited to: car covers, custom seat covers, Lloyd floor mats, and custom license plates. Please verify that the information provided for a custom item is correct before placing your order. Custom items are noted as such on the product page. We can only accept returns on custom items in the event of a manufacturer error.
Covercraft: Per Covercraft, we cannot accept returns on the following car cover fabrics: Form Fit, WeatherShield HP, WeatherShield HD, and Sunbrella. A 15% restocking fee will be charged on all other returned Covercraft items, including ready-fit car covers, Canine Covers, pet products, and Seat Gloves.
Electronics: Returned electronics (including buffers, battery tenders, tire gauges, vacuums, and blowers) are subject to a 20% restocking fee if product has been used or opened. There is no restocking fee for a defective product returned in exchange for the same product.
Garage Mats: Per the manufacturers, a 15% restocking fee will be charged on all returned garage flooring/mats. A 15% restocking fee will also be charged on all returned Tornador Car Cleaning Tools.
Hot water extractors are non-returnable.
